Read more3 Ways to Feel More Confident Getting Dressed in the Morning
Have you ever had one of those mornings where nothing is going right? You overslept, you have “nothing to wear”, and you’re having a bad hair day. Trust me, we’ve all been there.
But what if I told you there was a way to combat this dreaded feeling? These are a few ways our team members start their morning to feel a little more confident—and make sure that feeling lasts all day long:
1. Give yourself some extra time—even just 10 minutes will do!
I know, I know. This is the hardest thing in the world to do, especially if you’re a mom and have kids who need your attention, 24/7. But if you can wake up even ten minutes earlier in the morning, it will change the course of your entire day. Use those extra minutes to pour yourself a cup of coffee, meditate, or spend time just talking to your family. Starting your day on this positive note will help you feel better—and more relaxed—all day long.
2. Lay your outfit out in advance.
Sounds like something you’d tell a second grader, right? Sure, but it works for adults too, especially those who are in a serious rush out the door. Instead of walking into your closet with two minutes to spare (and grabbing the first combination of items you lay eyes on) spend 60 seconds the night before picking out a few items that look great together—and, more importantly, make you feel great, too.
Bonus points if you pick out accessories (or a great bra!) to match. No good outfit is complete without that strong first layer to start your day off strong.
3. Rid your closet of awkward fits and outdated trends.
Odds are, you probably have too much stuff—and both your closet and underwear drawer are overflowing with options. A scattered home leads to a scattered mind, so clear out the clutter and simplify your life. Instead of waiting until the new year, check out these closet cleanout tips now. A more streamlined closet—and bra drawer—will help you feel more confident in the pieces you’re reaching for.
