With the end of New York Fashion Week, we’re taking a moment to appreciate our favorite looks from some of the top designers in the business. These are some of our favorite trends that are making us so excited for fall/winter, 2017:

1. Red everything.

Gear up for red, red wine! Punchy red and even darker, purple-red hues rocked the NYFW runways and will be a major fashion trend in fall and winter. We love deep reds because they make clothing and lingerie look luxe. We’re crushing on this look from Victoria Beckham’s show in particular. Dreamy!
Get a headstart on this fall trend and invest now in deep red hues, like our Lace Balconette Bra in Scarlet. Pair it with a red or wine drapey tank and you’ll be #trending.
2. Golden yellow.

We’ve written before about why we think you should work more yellow into your wardrobe, and we’re excited that this trend is here to stay. Designers from Altuzarra to Lacoste highlighted golden hues on the runway — and while the shades may have deepened slightly from their mellow yellow spring counterparts, they’re still very bright and energetic for fall. And, fabric matters! We saw a resurgence of yellow tones in both velvet and fur. Purrrr.
Consider pairing a golden turtleneck underneath your go-to pea coat or blazer, and alongside your favorite trousers for a sophisticated workwear look a la Oscar de la Renta.
3. “Femme modern” dressing.

Guess who’s back… back again. We’ve seen menswear creep it’s way onto the runways for the past few seasons. Still oversized and exaggerated, this “femme modern” look is a little softer this time around than in years past. If you’re looking for small ways to incorporate this trend into your fall wardrobe, consider an oversized smart power blazer, like this one from Calvin Klein.
4. Political statements.

Perhaps our favorite look from the runways this spring are those making political statements. It all started with Dior over a year ago, and it’s here to stay. From Prabal Gurung’s “The Future is Female” tees to Creatures of Comfort’s “We Are All Human Beings” statement and Christian Siriano’s powerful “People are People” graphic t-shirts, we can’t wait to rock this trend come fall.
5. Inclusion.

From the stunning J.Crew presentation to Michael Kors’ ready-to-wear runway show, models of all ages, ethnicities, and sizes were spotted strutting their stuff at New York Fashion Week. We’re inspired by the beautiful array of women and can’t wait for more designers to embrace this look in future seasons.
